Exorbitant Fee for a Short Tow: $220 from Fresno to Clovis! Yesterday I experienced a highly disappointing service from Bulldog Towing Service, which ended up costing me a staggering $220 to tow my car just 13 miles, from Fresno to Clovis. The initial quote given to me over the phone by the front desk was a reasonable $100 in total. However, to my dismay, this quote was not honored. After the service was completed, I was informed that the cost was actually $100 per hour, leading to a final bill far exceeding what was reasonable for the service provided.The drive between the two locations is a mere 23 minutes under normal circumstances. Yet, the technician took an excessive 100 minutes to perform what was described as 'professional' work. Additionally, there was a fundamental lack of understanding or perhaps disregard for my vehicle's specifics; despite informing the technician that my BMW X5s battery is located in the rear, he persisted in incorrectly attempting to jump-start the car from the front with a battery that seemed more toy-sized than suited for an automobile. This experience was not only frustrating due to the unexpected and unjustifiable cost but also because of the apparent lack of professionalism and vehicle knowledge exhibited by Bulldog Towing Service. I hope this review can serve as a cautionary tale for others to seek out more reliable and transparent towing services.
