      Welcome to the Brand New Holiday Inn Express & Suites Downtown Dahlonega. Dahlonega city is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the hotel is in the close vicinity of Attractions and University of North Georgia! Dahlonega the first US gold rush, nearby wineries and those who wanted to live within the grandeur of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.       image Pleasantly surprised! From the outside, it didn't look much like other Holiday Inns I have stayed at. It's at a great location with many shops and places to eat within walking distance. Checking in was easy and the girl behind the counter was very friendly. The bedrooms and bathrooms are CLEAN and modern. Beds were comfortable for a hotel bed. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast. Well stocked. My only complaint about the hotel would be the pool. It was freezing! Couldn't get more than a toe in.
      Rooms: Very spacious, clean, and modern. Beds were comfortable.
      Walkability: There are some cute shops, restaurants, and ice cream places all within walking distance.

      image We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative thing was that the second morning for breakfast the eggs were cold, no gravy or butter for the biscuits, no bacon, turkey sausage was also cold and they ran out of coffee at 8 am. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

      image I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff were ALL amazing!!! The hotel was clean!! Love this location.
      Walkability: Great location to walk anywhere in town.
