    I lived in Hampton 10 years ago and it was a decent living space so I came back expecting the same but by the end of week one I realized this was a terrible mistake. I have roaches and all they offered was to have pest control come out but they spray regularly anyway so how would that solve the issue. I had to make a 3rd complaint to have it addressed and pest control did nothing to solve the issue. I ended up having to purchase my own pest control which has seemed to improve the issue so far. My building has no outside lights so when going out late night and early morning, I carry a flashlight or walk in darkness. The breezeways are filthy. There are large pot holes all over the property. The gate isnt fully functioning so my code has never worked and found out by being locked out at 2am and couldnt get back in. They knew it wasnt working and didnt inform me during my move. My bathtub was and still is dirty. They sent someone to apply epoxy and it still looks the same. The tile has black mildew and dirty stains and after three calls, its still the same so I dont use it. The patio is filthy and they have yet to address that after two complaints. The screens arent secure. The door that leads to the patio from the bedroom blew open in the middle of the night and they have yet to come and address the doors security. I asked if pest control could be removed from my rent add ons and they said no. I dont think I should pay for something thats useless and they knew it was pest here before I got here. There are tears in the cheap vinyl. A black stain on the wall in the hallway. None of this was cleaned upon move in and I was told during my walk through that it was still being worked on and would be fixed. They are renovating an apartment in front of the building and left cabinets outside. Upon glancing inside I saw dead roaches and dripping inside the cabinets so Ill assume that apt is infested and thats what is causing my roach problem. The price of rent vs the apt conditions dont align. They are unkept and run down and nothing like years ago when Chastain properties managed this property. They had what I assume are contractors doing the renovation and they came outside of my apt cutting countertops and blew saw dust all over the ground and steps leading to my door so guess who tracked dusty footprints in their home everyday. Yes I did and my daughter is small so her hand was covered in dust when using the stair rail. Ill likely break my lease to leave this place soon. Ill take pics tomorrow and update this post.
