They were difficult to work with for the admission process. It was all about constantly getting financial information to them. I have made multiple trips with copies of bank statements but it was never good enough. Never current enough. My father was a Korean War veteran. His VA whole life policy was only issued once a year showing the value of his investment. Many of the other statements were only issued quarterly. They would not take my word that the money was still in all these accounts
We were lucky enough to get him placed in Parkview. @ $10,000/mo. Where he received, Im certain, far superior care for years.
If you want to place your loved one at a facility that cares more about money than they do about resident care this is the place for you.

The place is beautiful aesthetically. Walking in, it really feels like a home. The decor is tasteful, and the home-cooked meals are lovely! The caregivers that I met were extremely pleasant, and hard-working.
The severe lack of medical knowledge from the management was pretty disappointing though. The Director was more concerned with the number of paintings on the wall than resident safety, to the point of distracting staff while they cared for an actively bleeding resident.
There is no registered nursing staff onsite, so everything gets put on the caregiver team. Resident care and safety are unfortunately compromised as a result.

Azura of Oshkosh cared for my grandfather with dignity. He loved the girls who worked there as they made him feel special. I would recommend Azura to anyone with a family member dealing with later stages of dementia.
