        Nice high end hotel with a lot of history overseeing Lake Mendota. When I was going to college there I passed it many times not never thinking I'd ever be staying at the Edgewater. Glad I'm in a position now to afford it. Walkability: Certainly within walking distance to the State Capitol and State Street where much of the action is happening.

        went for the 2024 Easter Brunch, while the wait staff was attentive, the event well organized, the variety and quality of the food did not warrant the $87 per person price tag. dessert table was a disappointment. The variety of the main buffet table was on par with a buffet at a third the price. The quality of half the dishes on par with a $20 venue. The Bloody Mary's were that absolute worst I have ever had. Try harder next year. I will try other options in 2025.

        The spa staff is very rude - a bit racist to say the least. Leadership is definitely lacking. I will not be recommending to anyone I know to visit or book any services. Not worthy of even 1 star.
