Pros: Didnt know about this thrift store until recently. The place is nice and huge selection. Cons: Ive been there twice and the second time one of the staff seemed kind of rude. Also, its ridiculous to price things as blank dollars because its this much on eBay I understand the if you cant beat em join em mentality with resellers. But I dont agree because now youre limiting your customer base when many of us just want to find nice clothes for cheap prices. I found a cute shirt there that they had priced for $59.99. Are you kidding? Not designer or anything so unsure why it was that much. I wouldnt even pay that much at an actual store. Then it was marked down to $18.99, still couldnt bring myself to buy it. Also left another item behind for the price. Unfortunately I think you guys need to reevaluate how you price your items.

This has been my go to favorite little thrift for years. Its been consistently nice and actual thrift store prices. The last time I went in, random items were way over priced which is so sad to see at a second hand store. I found a cute fall jacket but it was $40 and not in the best condition for a used item. Since my original review ^ they have really dug into over pricing all items. Its sad. The review below is my response to their comment. Edited* part of the community you are serving is the community of people coming in because they need/cant afford clothes etc. People living in poverty deserve access to nice things too, and when people donate they expect that to be the case. Consider reflecting on where community starts. Its great you donate to the orgs that you do, but thrift stores should serve those coming in directly, too. Especially with clothing and staple house hold items that people need. Especially with warm clothing during winter months.

VERY overpriced. Its like shopping at an antique mall, not a thrift store. Many items are marked with tags stating an eBay price. I used to love this thrift store because I was able to go here and find treasures for a good price. Now I avoid going there because there are many other local thrift stores with much better prices. Customers understand that the profits go to a good cause. The store manager does not understand that to make a profit you should have prices that appeal to the majority of customers. If prices are good then I will stop in often and buy things that I like, but really don't need. The store is located in a neighborhood where both the local high school and middle school provides free lunch based on the low income of the neighborhood. (Community Eligibility Provision program.) Its sad that this store is pricing out local customers. October 2023 update: I had stopped shopping at this store because of the prices and the insistence of the management that their high prices are the right thing. I stopped in today after many months and found that they are still tagging everything with "vintage" and "eBay price". Even more so than before. I have attached photos. I photographed the damaged snowflake Pyrex dish at the store in October 2022 priced at $10. It is no longer in the store but it is still for sale on the store manager's marketplace page for $10, one year later! This goes to show how long their stock can sit unpurchased because it is so overpriced.

Hi Alex. We have been getting some really amazing donations ~ many of them are designer labels. We do lots of research to come up with our prices. We try to price our items at 25-33% of new retail prices. So if you saw an item for $40, that would mean it would have had a full retail value of over $160 new. Keep in mind if that item doesn't sell within a few months, it drops to 50% off for one month and if it doesn't sell after that month it drops to $1 for another month before it leaves our store. If you ever find anything in our store that you don't feel is in good condition, please bring it to our attention. We do handle hundreds of items each day and it is possible we may miss something. We could then offer you a discounted price or we will remove it from the store inventory, if need be.Please also know that our profits go to support other non profits throughout the community, so we are also trying to lend as much support to others with the money our store provides by fairly pricing our items. We value you as our customer and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Hi Jennie. We are sorry to see your one star review. We at Echoes work really hard to come up with our prices. Our goal is to mark items at 25% to 33% of brand new prices. We continue to be blessed with amazing donations and many of them are high end. Our prices will reflect that, if the items are high end. If in more of a used condition it would be marked 25% of new retail prices and many times we get items that are brand new, and then they will be more toward the 33% of new retail pricing. If we can't find a new retail price then we do reference other reseller prices - like Ebay, Etsy and Poshmark. We however do not charge the same prices as those markets. We always go lower. Keep in mind that we do always have an ongoing tag sale where many items in our store are 50% off and many others are only $1. People can shop and get an entire bag full of clothes for under $10. We have designated "Last Look" racks where everything on the rack is only $1. I'm glad that you understand that we are a non profit resale shop and all of our proceeds go back in to the community to help others through other non profit groups. In fact one of the groups that we help fund helps students in many of the local schools, with basic needs. Other groups that we have helped are Harbor House, Pillars, Leaven, and Samaritan Counseling to name a few. We hear nearly everyday how much people love our store. We try very hard to have a clean, organized and well stocked store, to make it a nice shopping experience for all of our customers. We really hope that you will continue to shop with us in the future. I promise you that we are doing a lot to help the local community.
