A close friend and myself were wanting to go out and kyak a local, but very remote lake that has limited access only by a small tributary running from the lake itself, so we would have to paddle up the provebial stream... But hopefully with good paddlles!.. We contacted Mountan Gear in Spokane, and they had a wide range of different boats available, and a very knoledgable, even friendly staff that was enthusiastic about the entire process, and even taking intreat in our planned trip itself... We could have purchased a set of boats, but being this was our first outing, elected to rent a pair of boats with paddles, and the required life vest flotation devices... The cost was nominal, at just about $50.00 dollars a day, per boat... We picked up our boats just prior to the store closing for the day, and promised to return them about the same time the following evening... The staff helped us load the boats onto our car's luggage rack, and they even supplied the tie downs and foam rubber bumpers to help keep the craft secure on our drive to and from the launching point. Our trip was Great! We expolred the entire lake and a captive island that we were able to eat lunch on.... Within the lake itself. I will always remember this trip... And it was partly such a success because of the ease of getting such great equiptment, at a great price, from a spectacular group of knoledgable and friendly people at Mountain Gear, in Spokane, Washington.

Incredibly expensive double lo e the price I've found elsewhere no wonder they're going out of business.
