I am more traumatized now that I have been to this facility then ever. I was 19 at the time in a adult unit. I had specifically asked not to be stripped searched to to my past trauma. They took me into a room and told me to undress completely within a hour of being there. I completely broke down. Instead of helping or consoling me one lady yelled at me while I was mostly naked. She basically told me I could either do what she said or get detained by police and stripped searched. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever experienced. I wanted to genuinely take my life right then and there. They finally realized their obvious stupidity and stopped. I understand there are safety procedures but that was absolutely devastating to experience. I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable the whole stay. There were other patients that I was actually afraid of. They made a couple comments on how I was pretty. He came out of his room nude later that day. I attempted suicide a little while afterwards of getting out of there. Obviously this place didn't help me. They make you attend stupid meetings and want to control how you feel. Honestly there needs to be a investigation for cruelty to patients. How some of the people were treated there was not ok. They also want to diagnose you with everything under the sun with little knowledge. They gave me a list of medications when I got out.

Two stars for the kind advocate who tried her best to help. Rejected twice for different arbitrary reasons, first they sent me for medical clearance, but as I was waiting for scan they rejected me, the hospital had me waiting in their waiting room for 4 hours, so i said I'd rather leave, they then sent armed police to escort me, 115lbs, to an isolation room.
I came back a couple days later because the hospital had no services for me, and was rejected once again. The SIADH wasn't an issue for the referring dr. before they learned I was trans, then used it as an excuse to reject someone seeking help.

I loved the staff, they were super supportive! The food was also good. I highly recommend this place. I feel so much better with my mental health.

I'm suicidal and they turned me away because I have dementia...
Now I have to kill myself. Thanks for no help
