I stopped in for the first time today. Like most secondhand stores these days, the racks are full of Shein and Wild Fable. This isnt necessarily the fault of the shop, but of consumers buying tons of Shein clothing and treating it like its disposable. It all ends up unwanted in stores like this. Frustrating to look through, as someone who goes out of my way not to buy fast fashion. The shop has a varied selection of items, with a large plus size section, kids, formalwear, costumes, and new novelty gift items. The costume rack in front also has some true vintage gems! Definitely not a boutique consignment experience, quality control needs improvement for sure. I found lots of items with damage beyond normal wear and tear. They have some racks categorized by style, and I found a cute leather skirt on the goth rack that I was going to buy until I spotted a hole in the back. As I shopped, I found lots of items with rips, stains, and pilling. A pair of heels on a display had lots of nicks in them and dirty footbeds, but were priced $19?? I feel that this quality should never have been accepted to sell in the first place. I found a few things to try on, one of which was a lovely silk dress. In the fitting room I discovered it was ripped at the seams and had small stains. I told the woman who was helping me and she just said silk is delicate and put it back. Prices are all over the place. Some are bargains, and some are really high for what the item is like a j.crew skirt for $40. Many items are priced the same or higher than they were new. I found a Ross dress with a $14.99 tag that the shop priced $16.99. Wild fable tank top for $12.99. Shein T-shirts are typically $4-$6 new, but many I spotted here are priced $9.99 used. BUT I ended up buying a designer Tadashi Shoji dress for only $14.99 which shocked me! So there are some gems in there if you have the time to look. Workers were friendly and attentive. The shop is clean and well organized. I think it has a lot of potential if they were a little more stringent on what clothing they accept.
