Our experience is few years old but I think it's important to mention for others. Few things we noticed which are red flags for us. 1. They have mixed age group. Which sometimes leads to bullying and teachers are not very attentive to it. 2. There is just one full time, others are part time who don't care that much. 3. We sent our daughter here when she was little more than two years. At that time she really loved people and other children. She would immediately mix up with other kids and never had separation anxiety. But she was bullied at this place, which scared her and took sometime to get over it. Fortunately we were able to identify the problem through other kids and got her out in time. Teachers never shared this with us. Her time here scared her and she started resisting contact with other kids. 4. There is no individual attention. 5. The next school that we sent her to was actually good with nice teachers who really believed in building relationships with students and expressed their love. This made us realize what was missing in her earlier school. We wish we never sent her to this place.

We love Huckleberry. At the age of 4, our son has been able to verbalize Spanish, Sign language, and a few French song verses! Cooking at school has enabled him to have more food confidence but gain exposure to the different types of cuisines (we wouldn't otherwise cook at home). Their curriculum on exposing students to different cultures won us over! Being able to ease our child into the 5 day schedule was helpful on our schedule and pocket! Would highly recommend!

Our experience at this preschool has been exceptional! The staff is incredibly nurturing and dedicated. The curriculum goes beyond the basics, embracing cultural diversity through language immersion and diverse activities. Not having to think about lunch has been notably a stress reliever. Having that exposure to different types of cultures as part of the curriculum has been so amazing for our child.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. We moved here cross country and I was very nervous about finding the right pre school for my son. He has ADHD and has had separation anxiety at daycare drop off, even though he had been going basically his whole life. He loves this school. We love this school. They are warm, supportive and loving. They adapt to my son's specific needs (ADHD) seamlessly, they support him, and they foster a community of love and support among the children. The teachers and parents have made it feel like a family away from home. Mr. Ron knows something about everything and keeps the kids engaged in constant pretend play, acting out silly stories, and learning about space, gems and minerals, animals, the number google. My child always comes home with a great fact that has peaked his curiosity and sends us running to the library to learn more. Ms. Aida has him trying all kinds of new foods, as well as writing and sounding out letters. The student to teacher ratio is very small, I think it was been 14 students and 2 teachers the majority of the time we've been there. They're open during the Summer. My son loves it here so much he has asked if he can come back next Summer while Kindergarten is out. They also have parents night out one Saturday a month, from 4-8, at the school where the kids have a "party" and you can drop in for $40. There is a big multicultural focus, as many of the kids have families in foreign countries, and they learn about a new country or region every week. My son comes home singing in Spanish and French constantly and loves all the art projects and acting out plays. They don't have an outdoor area, but do nature walks and lots of active indoor dance parties. The families are wonderful and we frequently have playdates and playground get togethers after school or on weekends. Many of the families have been going for years, with older children enrolled as well. Highly, highly recommend.

We are very happy that we have found this preschool for our third daughter. After seeing many preschools I must say HF is one of the kind. It has something you can't find easily - a preschool that shares a value with co-operative preschools: a focus on child development and strong sense of community. It is a safe place where my daughter loves to go every time. She gets a lot of laughs with funny Mr. Ron; learns to 'cook' with Miss Aida; get to know some Spanish and art with Miss Rebecca; listen to a music, do yoga and 'travel' to different continents and countries; try different foods... (my kid started to eat broccoli in this preschool!). Preschool hosts Potluck Party monthly, where you get a chance to meet other parents and to know teachers better. There is also a 'Parents-go-out' babysitting evening once in awhile. Oh, so many good things about this preschool, I could go on and on. But, the thing that I respect the most is their flexibility. They will always find a way to accommodate specific needs and help a family when unpredictable life situations happen. It is important especially when you have more children. Thank you Huckeberry forest, we hope that you will reopen soon, my daughter misses you!!
