Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle-Downtown

Upgraded room, very clean with great breakfast. Friendly staff who accommodated a late check out. Location is conveniently close to downtown landmarks, we will come back when in Seattle again!

Internet wasn't working for all 4 days of my stay and the staff did not help out. I had to come down to reception everytime to check on the wifi status. Also, the breakfast can be improved. Food and cutlery were running out and they were taking quite some time to refill.

I am disappointed with my service at the Hampton Inn by Hilton. To begin, when we arrived, their system was down and we were told that we would have to wait for them to be able to check us in. No problem. We waited patiently until the system came back up. As Ashley went over the type of room that we had booked, I asked her if there was a pull out sofa bed in the room, since we had a child with us, she said no. She said that if we wanted a room with a sofa bed, we would have to get an upgraded room for an additional charge. I told her that we had just come from another Hampton Inn in Portland, where we were able to get free upgrades being honors members. She basically said that she did not know that I was an honors member and they're too busy to accommodate my request, in a very snooty way. We paid for our upgraded room. We had questions about parking. I couldn't understand why we needed to pay $30 for parking when they had a section with an open lot. As we continued to ask her questions, we got the feeling that we were bothering her. She tried to keep it nice but we sensed the attitude. The parking garage is very mediocre. There are not a lot of parking spaces and those huge blue columns take up space, making it extremely difficult to park. A lot of the spaces were left open because no one wanted to park by those blue columns. As we entered our room, it was a very large, one bedroom apartment-like suite, with a full kitchen, and a balcony that had a partial city view. We were right by a busy road though, across from a gas station and a few other stores, so it was very noisy as vehicles were continuously going by all night. If you're a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. The bed is also VERY uncomfortable and to me, does not live up to the Hilton status. As I laid in the bed, I sunk into a hole and had to force myself to get back out. I had to go sleep on the couch as I felt like I was sinking in and my back began to hurt, so I did not get a good night's sleep after paying so much money for this upgraded room. I could also hear every step that was being taken from upstairs and noises coming from the hallway. I would not come back to this hotel or recommend that anyone that I know, stay here because this is not luxurious and definitely not quiet. At first glance, it may seem okay, but when you take a deeper look, you'll see that there are quite a few imperfections and plenty of room for improvement. Nearby activities: Close to several attractions, such as the Space Needle, museum and others. Safety: We felt safe in the hotel. Some homeless people were across the street.
