This is now my favorite florist in the Seattle area. I called and took a chance since I had never been there before. I asked over the phone for a very cheery/cheerful arranged bouquet. The owners are wonderful. I made two new friends. The owner asked me what my price range was and I said $75. I went to pick up the arrangement and was blown away! The bouquet was huge and beautiful and so cheery and exactly what I wanted! This is my go to from now on. Highly recommend!

I've been buying flower here for 20 years, probably 2-3 times per year. Always been a great product and experience. That's because I always had them delivered and never interacted with the ownership. I visited the coffee shop next door, the Living Room Cafe (btw it's a really nice place you should go there). I parked in front, but admittedly to the left, of the coffee shop in a spot that is apparently restricted to the flower shop. A mistake in hindsight. In the three minutes it took me to grab a cup of coffee and leave, a young man associated with the flower shop ownership moved his car to block me in. As I approached, he asked if I was going into the shop, I said no, I was getting coffee, but I regularly buy my flower there a few times a year. He told me that buying from them three times a year isn't important, and now I can just wait until he's done. That was an odd approach for a small retail business owner, but fine. If your small business is successful enough to scorn regular customers, good for you. I stood adjacent to my car, a bit perplexed and certainly a little put out, but he was clearly having a bad day and I had a nice warm cup of coffee. I can kill a few minutes while he loads his car. But then...The power tripping rose peddler decided to aggressively tell me to WAITE IN MY CAR until he was done! No no no.. that's just a bit too much. I'll accept I made a mistake, but I'm not going to be held captive by a Napoleonic bouquet artisan for committing a parking violation. At that point I let him know in five minutes I was leaving. If he needed to call the tow truck he should do it fast, but I recommended he call the police as well. At that point I believe he realized he'd gone too far and pulled his car back to let me out. As I write this, I realize though I did get angry, I am now just sad. How poetic would it be in a world of Amazon-Starbucks retail obliteration if a small family-owned business could be a virtue to the community instead of a cantankerous neighbor. Just think about it. A lovely neighborhood flower shop next door to a cute coffee shop. It could have been the making for Sleepless in Seattle Two. Woefully after today's experience I'll be using Ballard Blossom for future floral needs.
