The staff were amazing, but a lot of the time they were stuck dealing with devices and technology that took ages to load and upload information. It took away some of the time we could have used for other beneficial activities and conversations. When I say it took ages, I mean it took AGES. Those computers definitely are showing their age. Plus the orange tablet gave up on me twice while trying to fill out necessary paperwork. Definetly added more stress for all of us. Also the LEDs definitely gave me a thousand migrains, so if there could be dimmer lighting that would be amazing. Still, I met a lot of wonderful people trying to make the best out of their situations.

I deserved better. I deserved to be treated better. I was a human. The staff was unkind as a hobby. I remember being told by one of them, well if you did relapse it would be your fault, you have a binder (with little paper print outs of all the skills, like the copied pages from Marsha Linehan would save us all). Ive met nicer staff in a McDonalds, your staff is cold and looked down on us. My psychiatrist game me medication that sedated me, then prescribed me stimulants to counteract the drowziness instead of finding one that worked. My dietician was a grown-up former high school mean girl. I wish I would have turned you into my insurance company that year, she didnt bother meeting with me my whole last two weeks, even before discharge. I had to open a better business bureau case just to get the billing department to respond after your insurance snafu led to billing issues with your vendor. Id been in residential, came home to hundreds and hundreds in bills, and because the vendor you force us to use for medication requires payment in a month, if youve been in treatment for a month, your payments are already late and I was about to be reported to a credit agency. You all refused to help until the bbb made you. I could go on, but this place isnt where anyone should go to heal, and it isnt where you should ever send a child if youre a parent.
