Thank you so much Dr. Tyler for the care you have provided to our family. It's clear they care, which I learned when I called in (after speaking with other folks we were referred to - there was no heart and all business with a different provider -  I'm glad I had that experience so we could link up with these great people). Our little guy needed to have several teeth worked on and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I was blown away with how smooth the injection of the sedation went - my son had no idea it even happened, so he's got this really figured out. We appreciate the care and professionalism we received.

We were disappointed by our experience with this office. During our first visit with our toddler, we didn't see the dentist profiled on the website. I asked via e-mail who this person was and received no clarification of credentials. Three months later we scheduled an appointment to check on a spot I noticed developing on our toddler's molar, again we saw someone other than the dentist profiled. During this appointment were told that 'everything looked fine' and that the spot was a stain. At our third appointment three months later, we finally met Dr. Tyler. Our discussion with him gave us the impression that we should have our 2.5-year-old anesthetized for caps on all of his molars. It was also suggested that we delay treatment until his two-year-old molars came in, in case more work was needed. This made us feel like they were after $$$. We visited a different dentist office shortly after for a second opinion, and we were told one filling was needed for one cavity ASAP, and that all other teeth could be managed with good oral hygiene practices. Clearly this dentist works well for a lot of folks, based on the reviews - though probably more so if you have a child with perfect teeth!

Have been bringing my son here since he turned 1 (he is almost 4) and I have to say I am very happy with Dr. Tyler and his entire staff. We recently came in to have 1 cavity filled that we kept having to put off due to different reasons and from the last time my son was in for a checkup (summer 2020) until recently that 1 cavity got bigger going into the pulp of his baby tooth and even a second cavity formed on the baby tooth next to it, Dr. Tyler explained everything very well and let me know that because the cavity had extended down into the pulp of the tooth my son would need a silver crown instead of a filling like he originally planned for. They were done before I knew it (so quick!) And my son had no idea what was going on. I highly recommend this office and will be bringing my youngest here for care when his time comes. Thank you Dr. Tyler & staff!

We can't identify who this patient is based on the reviewer's name, so we can only speak in generalities. When we have a toddler with early decay we always give the family options so they can choose what they feel is best for their child. Options often include 1)monitor decay and re-evaluate at a future date. This could be because the cavity is small and not necessary to treat immediately and it would be beneficial for more teeth to erupt before we consider treatment 2) place silver diamine fluoride on an area of decay to stop or slow the progress of a cavity and re-evaluate at a future date, or 3) treat the child with fillings or crowns. For young children this may require either sedation or general anesthesia. We will do our best to educate a parent on the pros and cons of any choice and always allow them to choose an option they are comfortable with.
