Chase Bank

My wife from Canada just recently move here in Seattle, she would like to open a bank account and went to this branch and she told me that an employee here ask her if she is a US citizen ??and also He said that he need a proof of address before she can open an account. So my wife went to US bank instead. Chase lost a potential client big time. By the way my wife has a green card and SSN.

Contact the Chase branch located at 1950 6th Ave, Seattle, this morning at around 10 am to inquire about exchanging Canadian dollars. A representative informed me that they can assist in placing an order for Canadian dollars at their branch, which would take two business days. Additionally, they mentioned the possibility of immediate currency exchange at the Broadway branch. However, upon visiting the branch in person around 2 pm in the afternoon, I was told that currency exchange is only available at the Broadway branch, definitely wasting my time.

I opened a bank account here today. I'm from Canada, so I wasn't sure how Zelle and Venmo worked. The woman who set up my account (Assistant Vice President) was extremely rude, was constantly interrupting me, and yelled at me while setting it up. Security ended up getting involved. I get that we all have bad days, but this was extreme. Bank manager was also very condescending and patronizing when following up. I asked her how it was handled on their end and she said "maybe from what I said earlier you'll have a clue" and then hung up on me.
