Local clinics with great services, both my childrenve been patients here for many years and mostly see Dr Evans. She and her team care about their parents and make sure they are healthy.

I have never felt so belittled as a Mother. Dr. Ellner addressed my 87 year old grandmother who accompanied me to the appointment with my daughter to have her answer the questions instead of me. Not only am I a stay at home mother, but I know my child. This was a ridiculous assumption on her part. The doctor did not arrive to the office until 1 minute before the scheduled appointment. Was only in the room with my daughter and I for about 7 minutes and was making clear commentary that she thought my grandmother should answer the questions instead of me. Never again. I am establishing care elsewhere and would urge anyone else to do the same.

It only took us 1 visit to decide to leave them for good. The doctor ordered blood work to check my newborns jaundice level. Two nurses came in. The one in training started working on my kiddo. It took her 10+ minutes, during which my son cried to almost choke himself to collect 0.4 ml blood specimen from a 3 day old. She was so poor at blood draw that she got blood all over her glove hence go to waste. She also didnt know how to work with a newborn, like how best to squeeze my sons heel to get blood quickly. The other nurse, who was teaching, only watched and talked with her while my son suffered. I asked repeatedly how much specimen is needed for this test, and was told that 0.4 ml is the minimum required by Labcorp, and the lab is very picky about it, they wouldnt run it unless we send enough. I later checked with Labcorp myself, and was told that Minimum volume for Bilirubin(jaundice) for neonatal is 0.2 ml. The two nurses showed zero sympathy and barely any professionalism. When I later talked with the doctor about our experience, he didnt show much sympathy either, only reiterating all our staff are well trained and professional but in the meantime he also said that we do not draw blood all day everyday, you can go to the lab if you want. I dont know whats MIPs standards for professionalism, I do know, though, the bar is much higher in many other practices. The doctor also said many times, maybe we are not a good fit for you. He is right in that for sure. They can not be a good fit for any family.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about this practice. Our primary doctor is Dr. Elizabeth Evans and I have appreciated everything that she has done for our five-month-old and the care her team has provided. If you are looking for a pediatrician for your newborn, I cant recommend Dr. Evans enough! She is calm, patient, and understanding. She is the exact Dr. you need as stressed out parents with a newborn! We always leave with next steps and feeling like we always got our questions answered. We even had to come in for an emergency visit for our baby girl on a Friday at 4:30 (right before closing) and we got a follow up phone call from Dr. Evans later that evening with results from tests they ran. This was important for me as I wondered what care would be like by not having a pediatrician in a hospital. She is truly amazing. Also, it is worth to note the front desk has been extremely accommodating and even coached me through insurance-related matters. Anytime I have a concern, a nurse can talk to me within minutes and provide us meaningful next steps. We have even been able to get in to see a doctor that same day and they have been equally as wonderful as Dr. Evans. This is an overall great practice and I am so grateful we found them!

Ive been looking for a new pediatrician for my children, and I contacted this clinic since we live on the Island. I called to set up a new patient appointment, but decided not to go there after talking to a very rude and condescending front desk staff.
