I initially contacted Luis to build a needed new back yard fence. In the beginning everything was great. He came to inspect & gave me a proposal, I gave him his requested 1/2 ($4K) up front on Friday; he & his crew showed up the following Tuesday. By Friday my old fence had been removed and a nice new fence had been completed. I paid more than he asked for at the end. We had already talked about more work that included staining the new fence, repairs to my deck and staining it as well, not to mention kitchen remodelling. A month later none of that has happened. While waiting for him to free up time to stain the fence, I had him look at a toilet that had been leaking & running every 15 minutes. He came one day & spent a lot of time working on it, replacing the toilet "guts"; I paid him his requested $150. When he was done, it was leaking & running every 5 minutes. He did come & spend time on it again. After telling him it was still a problem, he suggested a fix that would've not been necessary if he had read the installation instructions & used a simple part he threw away. Bottom line. If you can get him to commit to a one job come-and-be-done (I can only attest to a fence job), you'll probably be happy. Beyond that, I found it extremely frustrating to get him to respond to text, email & phone, much less actually commit to more work (several more thousands) we had previously discussed. Though he was quick to respond to a text when I said I was going to give up & give him a 2-star review. Service: Home repairs
