Took my car in to have a dash/backup camera installed. After they finished, my car wasn't starting consistently. Sometimes it would start, sometimes I would have to push the start button (newer sports car) a couple times for it to start. I never had any issues prior to them working on it. Since the camera came on when the car started, it was obviously not a coincidence. I took it back the same day. They first tried to tell me, as the vehicle owner, that I just wasn't starting my car correctly and so it was my fault. After a few rounds of explaining that I know how to start my own car, they eventually took my car back to the shop area. After a few hours, the guy working on my car came out and again tried to argue that he did it right and it must've been me. We both went back to the shop where I had him start the car. The same intermittent issue happened to him. Another few hours go by. He finally rewired it correctly and got it working how it should. It's ok to admit you got something wrong. No problem, completely understandable, it happens to everyone. But telling the owner of the vehicle that you know how their car starts more than the person that drives it everyday is just wrong. I went back to the dealership that I bought the car from a couple weeks later for a routine appointment and told them about my experience. They said it was obvious that I was starting my car right (keep in mind they sell and work on the type of car I have all the time), and said they were going to send customers to Advanced but my experience changed their mind. In conclusion, my bad review isn't based on them crossing a wrong wire and eventually fixing it, it's based on not checking the ego at the door.
