Kevin comes in for an in person consultation, meets with 2 NWAS representatives with expectations and explanation of what can and can't be done on this used vehicle. We told him that touchup is a repair and a repair is a repair. He assured us all he wants done at this time is minimal touchup efforts, due to budget reasons as he is not going to be doing clearbra at this time. We spend only 2 hours doing hand applied touchup only and then he calls and adds a buff polish and wax after touchup has been done with still no mention of clearbra with us or anyone else. At the time of pickup he inspected the work and was very happy included a tip. Both in person at delivery and on the invoice it states only 2 hours spent on touching up was spent, more time (and money) would be recommended prior to clearbra efforts down the road if and when he was to do it. Then, he took the car to another shop for clearbra but they failed to prep the car in any way OR adjust Kevin's expectations at all on the used vehicles condition and the 3D imperfections including bumper scrapes, hitting the curb etc and gouges in the actually plastic bumper. Albeit we touched up those areas on the plastic, they were still rough to the touch because NO sanding, filling , priming, painting was ever done especially for $250. The bumper ideally should have been refinished/repainted at a much higher cost than $250. After clearbra was installed Kevin is unhappy with the results. Long story short, if you come in for a consultation and go against the recommended work, then expectations should be adjusted accordingly. However, our work came out great for what was done and I do believe his cheaper clearbra installer should have adjusted expectations (or been detail oriented) prior doing the job. Kevin did not communicate appropriately, lacked transparency and used his budget against himself and now is unhappy, but he still saved money! Unfair, dishonest, an uncalled for review? I will let you decide, but the situation was not what it seemed and we can't do more work than the customer wants to pay for/communicates.
