Our maintenance request was simply not taken notice of, and was dismissed without action. Rats, we have them. Nothing has been done about them. Safety? Nope. I will only go with someone else or my dog, never alone. There was a shooting in the parking lot a few months ago, and management never bothered to say anything about it. DOG POOP. Yes, it happens. But it's EVERYWHERE. no one picks up after themselves and management doesn't even post notices, as much good as that would do. Our neighbors below us run their parties so loud and so late that I've lost much sleep. I have kids too, and the music and noise disturbs them as well. Honestly, if it weren't one of the cheapest spots around, I would move in a heartbeat.

Anything off Evergreen is not the safest, I know that. But I chose this apartment complex due to it being close to my work, having a dog park and pay a pretty penny to live here. There was a shooting due to car break in's the first month I moved in. That's great. Addicts using right outside out apartment on the sidewalk. Also great. The whole apartment complex is next to a stream. What sucks about that is the apartments are old and don't have the right ventilation. My apartment was upgraded before I moved in but really was just paint and new flooring. All my cabinets are old, which would usually be okay if there wasn't issues with mold. My bathroom is constantly damp, nothing fully dries and thankfully I bought myself an dehumidifier which has helped. But inside my cabinets reek of mildew (in the kitchen and bath) and the paint they used to cover them stick to everything I put inside. Behind the toilet there is some sub flooring that's damaged due to water damage which was just covered by the new flooring and there is mold growing behind the water tank. None of which was cleaned, let alone covered by anti mold paint. I put in a request to maintenance to address these issues among others. All issues but this one has been answered. The biggest con and issue I have other than all of these is the dog "owners" within this complex. Now I chose this apartment due to the dog park and my dog being able to have some freedom since he is such a high energy dog, plus hopefully make some friends to socialize with but nothing is more frustrating then dealing with an aggressive or reactive dog whenever I take mine out for a walk. There's supposedly breed restrictions, now I love all dogs but there's tons of Pits and German Shepherds that are not trained. Every single time I am out with my dog, there's a dog out where the owners have no control over. Either pulling their leads and on their hind legs, aggressively locking eyes with my dog, or barking aggressively while their owners are just pulling back. Now every dog can be triggered, I understand this. But if your dog is staring at another and you know they are triggered WHY do you CONTINUE to walk TOWARDS the animal that's triggering it? Also, for the safety of your dog and others, just put a mussel on them while walking them. Bottom line, I don't feel any safety for my dog or for my friends cars who decide to visit. They need to enforce their rules on aggressive dogs and get security continuing to patrol the complex, not just when there's shooting. Update: Management came by and took photos of the mold in my bathroom and havent done anything yet. That was at least 3 months ago. A neighbor left a box spring outside of my apartment for a month. I received a notice that Id have to get rid of it or be fined. I called to let them know that it wasnt mine so they should fine me, and asked them about the dog poop. The box spring stayed outside my apartment for another almost two weeks before I had enough and moved it to the dumpster. Dog park is CONSTANTLY covered in huge dog poop piles. I mentioned this to management and they said theyd send out a notice, never happened. The laundry room is constantly over run by families using 6-9 washers and dryers at a time. Mentioned this to management as well and its still happening. There will be literally vans parked out front with hazards on while they do their laundry (I dont even think most of them live here!) and the families that do will wheel in baby strollers and wagons FILLED with laundry. It is incredibly frustrating to be a single adult female with one load of laundry and have to wait to do it when the laundry room is only open from 9am-9pm and I cant do after work because theres one family using every single washer.
