I have rented from DuPont for around 10 years (1 condo, 1 home). I have been very lucky to work with Bob for both rentals. Any maintenance issues I have had, which was rare, were immediately scheduled for quick resolve. Bob and staff have been a pleasure to communicate with through the years. Lease renewals and walkthroughs were always simple and fair. As of today, I have ended my relationship with them due to moving out of state as a home owner: If I ever relocate back to WA, I will absolutely restart my journey with them. Honestly- the communication and energy was great until the communication stopped. Was very interested in a home in Lakewood. Owen mentioned multiple times that my application would be the first submitted and that I didnt need to apply ahead of seeing the home because all applications would be processed at the same time. This was not the truth. Waited 3 weeks to see the home- walked the home and inquired on the property application. The property had been removed from the website. Owen mentioned he would get the application up by eod. That never happened. Played phone tag for 2 days to finally find out an application had been submitted and approved. Honestly very frustrated because I was hoping this home could be ours. Do better at communicating- even when the customer might not like what you have to say.

I contacted them through a listing on zillow and emailed them. We applied for a house, and paid $80 in application fees. On the application, we requested a copy of our background check. We never received a copy of our background checks, which means they never even ran them. I never got a response on anything. No emails from them letting us know they rented the house to someone else (I found that out by seeing that the listing we applied for was removed from zillow and their website), no email back to answer any of my initial questions, nothing. We paid $80 for absolutely nothing. Luckily, we were treated much better by the people who work at NextHome South Sound in DuPont. They were responsive, processed our applications, we received copies of our background checks, and they kept us updated through the whole process. Bob is an amazing person! He was extremely helpful in finding a rental for us in April, was very kind and understanding. We needed something quickly. He immediantely went to work to find something that would fit our needs. He came to my rescue again last night when I locked myself out of my house. I was extremely stressed out especially since it was well outside of office hours. I called Bob. He reassured me that everything was alright and would be there within 10 mins. True to his word he was there in 10 mins. He saved the day for me again! He is truly an asset to Dupont Realty. Bob is one of the nicest people I have ever met .
