In a word this Penelope is unethical. She managed our rental property for us and then we made the grave mistake of hiring her to be the realtor. Instead of ensuring the property was cleaned and stained carpet replaced, she gave us poor advice about what was a fair sales price. When the property sold, she did not return it to the condition it was in before they assumed care of it. Decks were slimy and weathered. Carpets had big stains and were dingy even after supposed cleaning. Furnace filter had not been replaced in 2 years. We learned from a neighbor that the basement was being sublet. She did request that they leave, but this was pre- sale and they had been living there for quite some time. She gave the deposit back to the renters instead of using it to restore the house to an acceptable condition. She got paid, but she took advantage of our out of state status to not fully reveal until after sale, the true condition of the house pre-sale. Had we known in advance, we would for sure have waited until restored to previous condition before accepting an offer. Big financial hit for our family, easy money for her. Both seller and buyer were hurt in the process.

We have had a business relationship with Penelope and her team for over 3 years, when they began managing our rental property through its recent sale. We could not have asked for better. They found outstanding tenants, stayed on top of all maintenance issues, and kept up excellent communication, even when we were stationed halfway around the world. We trusted them to sell the house and were perfectly pleased with their performance as our agent. Our house sold quickly for an excellent price, and they made the whole process absolutely painless. Were we to purchase in this area again, we would absolutely hire them again, and we would recommend them to anyone in the market to buy, sell, or rent.
