    So sad that Dr. McDaniel is gone. He was not rude (from what some people report) he took my fear away of going to the dentist and explained everything absolutely detailed. He and Chaunte made so many jokes that it made it super easy for me to loose my fear. I have never been with a better dentist than Dr. Rodney McDaniel.

    I make appmt for a cleaning. It's been 8 months since last cleaning due to pregnancy and a new baby. I'm excited to get this checked off my list. I'm currently in school and have 3 children. I put my kids in daycare to come to my noon appmt. I had confirmed via text to Yorktown Dental as was my preferred communication type I had chosen on initial intake forms. I show up the location I've been to a handful of times now. I am 5 min early for appmt. Note on door says Yorktown Dental moved location- 10 min down road. I call them and let them know I had not received text alerting me that their location moved and the front desk lady I spoke to when I made appmt made no mention of this relocation. I assumed they of course would still see me for appmt bc this was their mistake. But no, instead they offer to resched me bc they said 10 min would run their sched too late. This was very surprising. A complete lack of logic and customer service. I let the lady know I had put children in childcare and was paying Hrly to make this appmt and it was like communicating w a cold robot. I'm very disappointed in my experience and treatment. I strongly think that in this situation, when the fault is with the clinic for poor notification systems in place, that they should have allowed me to drive to New location and be seen. This is of course no issue for them, I'm sure they have plenty of patients that losing one is not noticed. I just wanted to put this out there for future patients seeking a new dental clinic. Be wary of front of the house treatment- they do not act as though they value others time and money and do not take accountability when they make a mistake to rectify it. I included the only text I received from this business regarding my appmt. I also included screen shot of the company website which lists current address for those who would be seeking navigation to the clinics location: not updated as of the time of my appmt. Despite efforts to appear apologetic below- keep in mind the option to rectify and do the right thing by their client of 2 years- was an easy option. Instead, this business/receptionist decided without a moments hesitation to deny the logical course of having their schedule that day running 10 min behind, but keeping a client and taking responsibility for their mistake- whether a systems issue or not (matters zero to the patient experiencing the unprofessionalism). Expressing apology after the fact is disingenuous to the highest degree, a save-face for the purpose of the reviews. I've been in customer service for 20 years. I would not allow my mistakes to effect the business. And I would not turn away a client/customer- especially one who had never been late or showed disrespect to my business by disregarding their time and money. You've lost my business and my husband's business. Your actions show it is of no consequence to you. This review was simply to allow others light shed on practices.. ..that you still are attempting to justify. No tech systems issue can mask or take blame for your choice to turn customer away. Again- take responsibility.
