I have lived here for a year now.
Pros:
- convenient location right by I-95 and river.
- Leasing office holds little events with free food. Staff is great.
- Maintenance is very fast upon request.
- Always felt safe and secure in this location.
- currently one of the nicer affordable apartments in the area
- gazebo/playground/grill area
- festivals in the occoquan within walking distance
- clean, no bugs aside from annual drain flies
-local public pool access
-thick walls for noise control from nextdoor neighbors
Cons:
- Traffic noise from road all day/night, truckers and cars revving engines at the bridge light at commerce street intersection.
- Drain pipes connected in the entire building, if someone breaks/clogs their kitchen sink it clogs up the sinks of everyone above or below them in the building. It also means drain flies are difficult to kill and will eventually infest your apartment at one point in the year
- No extra storage units for all residents, have to rent a storage unit somewhere else
- Nowhere to park bicycles
- Floors/ceilings thin barely any noise control from upstairs neighbors, will hear everything your upstairs neighbor does or says

no amenities, floors are cheap and make too much noise. The rugs dont help. Your upstairs neighbor sound as if they are in your unit. Very cheap walls n floors.One working washing machine for an entire building. Can't wait to move.

I am now confident of the support, safety, and surroundings incorporated through the Woodlee Terrace Apartment community and will continue to be a faithful resident.

On November 12th I applied for an apartment at Woodlee Terrace (a AJ Dwoskin property) and paid the application fee of $50 (nonrefundable) and a $300 reservation fee, that is refundable if you cancel your application within 48 hours or if you are denied. On November 14th I learned that I was going to be denied so I asked for my application to be cancel and my reservation fee to refunded. I didn't get a response and I have sent 2 follow up emails but still have not received a response. I would like to have my reservation fee returned to me as promised, it has been over a month.
I also contact the corporate office of A.J. Dwoskin on December 14th and I was told that no one could speak to and that they would contact the property manager and have her contact me. She called and told me she would reach out to the Accounting department to find out the status of my refund, but I still have not received an update on my refund.
