Holiday Inn Express Williamsburg North, an IHG Hotel

Tesla drivers beware! I took my Tesla and met up with a friend at the Holiday Inn express in Williamsburg North. I was charging my Tesla when the app went off and said the alarm had been triggered. I looked on the camera and I was being towed. I spoke over the microphone to not tell me, and when I finally got a hold of the hotel after 20 minutes of no one answering, they argued with me that I could have caused a search using the regular house outlets and that the hotel supposedly called me two times, but it went straight to voicemail. Not only could they not have called me, because I am not the registered guest, but they couldnt possibly have known that it was my car. She also said that she called my room, but it was not my room that she called! Do not stay here. Do not trust these people! And to boot, the towing company closes at 2 PM. It is now 12:50 PM

The room rate I paid is supposed to include breakfast. I was here for 3 days and actually had breakfast only on the first day. For the next two days there was sausage, bacon, eggs and oatmeal. No pancakes. There were a few stale English muffins, bagels, and white bread. There was no cream cheese for the bagels. There was only margarine and sugar free jelly. When I complained to the front desk their response was the delivery truck did not show up. There is a Publix less than a mile away. If I was the manager I would have been down there buying donuts and fruit before I would give my customers such a lousy experience.

Breakfast was nice. Plenty to choose from. Beds were to soft for us, but that is personal choice. Shower would only get warm, not hot. Customer service was a bit curt. Not smiley and friendly. We'd stay here again. Our bill was $154.

The water was lukewarm during most of our 4-day visit and made for some less than pleasant showers. On the final morning it finally went to fully warm. On the positive side, I want to give a personal shout-out to Trae and Corey who went above and beyond in their service. Late one evening, Trae helped us resolve a very complicated mix up in reservations, and was the consummate professional. Corey handled large groups in the breakfast area by himself, and always bent over backwards to help visitors. Those two really stood out.
