Hilton Vacation Club The Historic Powhatan Williamsburg

The Powahatan Resort is supposedly owned by Hilton, however, they are unable to attach my Hilton Honors number to my stay here. Also, this is not a very handicapped accessible resort (from my perspective). They have accessible parking with ramp to the sidewalk, however then there is a 4-inch step to the entry porch/doorway, then once inside the door a winding staircas. Both are unsuitable for wheelchair mobility (no elevator). My son moves around on all fours when not in a wheelchair but being given a second-floor room, he makes too much noise for the guests below us when he moves around, so he has to sit still in the hotel the the entire time we are staying. Definitely not a family/kid friendly or accessible place to stay. If they were able to attach my hilton honors account to my stay (like every other hilton hotel) and they had better handicapped accessibility this would be a 5-star review, the size and other room amenities were great.

Rooms: Spacious and quiet. They are in need of remodeling, however the customer service and view makes it worthwhile. We had two bed rooms, living room with fireplace, a sun room and a full kitchen , washer and dryer for a home like feel. Great getaway from home. Nearby activities: Historic district is downtown- explore historic Williamsburg, downtown for great food and shopping- dont forget the outlets not too far from here- great location Safety: This is a gated property- felt very safe being here Walkability: If you enjoy walking/ this property has a nice and quiet neighborhood feel. Also this place is wheel chair accessible. Food & drinks: Great Cafe and dining on property. Noteworthy details: Great historical Manor with tour, activities, pool and mini golf on site- lots of amazing kids activities as well that even couples and adults can enjoy. Quiet view of the lakes- and catch views of deer at night and turtles at the lake during the day.
