We wanted to love the place but sadly it didnt feel like a home. No communal spaces for kids or adults. It felt like a little more effort for amenities could have made this place incredible.

First the good things: - The sales staff were amazing and helped us through the entire process. Can't thank them enough. - The construction managers were also very nice and kept us informed of the building process. - The location is also great and, from the outside, the community looks really nice. - We caught one issue with the bathroom tiles (the layout was terrible) early and they worked with us to get it resolved. On the minus side, I don't think that would have been the case, if it was caught closer to closing. We would have probably gotten some excuse along the lines of what I have listed in the complaints. The complaints (just the highlights - the list is looong): - The sales management was not amazing. Their tone and attitude was borderline insulting when discussing an issue we had with our agent. We were this close to pulling out of the sale because of that. - Getting the walkthrough issues resolved felt more like Toll trying to just cross things off the list, rather than really trying to please the customer. One example: we went with some high end cabinet finishes and there were nail marks where they were attached. Toll's reply: "well we can't install these particular ones without leaving marks." Seriously?? In order to install them you have to ruin them? Then why sell them in the first place? And another example: two of the panels on the wall of the same finish as the cabinets were held together by a cheap strip of plastic. You have these beautifully finished high gloss panels and a dull cheap plastic strip going through them. Their excuse: "well we need something to hold them together." OK, so how about you use the same material as the panels for the thing that is holding them together. You know, so it actually looks nice - At their design studio, where you pick your finishes, there was no application that would allow you to see how everything would fit together. You had to picture it in your head and keep your fingers crossed it would come out OK. I mean, a $7 billion company and they cannot afford a simple app so you can visualize how everything will fit together? Especially when you're buying a home that's going to cost an arm and a leg. - A lot of cutting corners. Here's one example: we went with a marble countertop for our kitchen island. Guess what? Instead of it being one solid piece, it was cut and installed in two pieces. Our beautiful marble countertop has a line going through it where the two pieces are connected, which is aesthetically awful. The excuse we were given: "well we cannot get it in one piece up the stairs." Umm, what about using the windows? I mean, it's new construction, after all. If you know the pieces will be too big to get up the stairs, leave one window uninstalled, get the countertop in through that window and then install the final window. Here's another example: square balusters installed in round holes. Apparently it would have taken too much attention to detail to bother with actually making square holes for a seamless install. - Some weird stuff. Here's one example: the stairs are not the same material as the hardwood floors. Rather, they're a standard wood that they install in every home in the community and painted to match the color of the wood floors. This is the first time I have seen this done and the matching is not very exact (not to mention the grain is completely different too), which is an eyesore. The bottom line is that I am quite disappointed with Toll Brothers, whose standards seem to have dropped significantly. I owned a Toll Brothers property before and it was on the basis of that that I decided to go with Toll Brothers again. But if that property I previously owned was a 10/10, this one is a 5/10 at best.
