The Atrium Resort

Although the hotel may not be as updated as some others, it was a great stay for our group. We were in town for a cheerleading competition and needed a hotel close to the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This was perfect for our group size and the easy commute to the Convention Center. The staff were very nice and any issues that we did have, they addressed immediately. Our cheerleaders enjoyed the pool and were able to enjoy their downtime, along with a quick walk to the beach and boardwalk area.

Older resort but updated and very clean. As the name points out at the entrance is an atrium with an indoor poor and hot tub. Was worried about the pool noise because we were in the second floor near the open atrium. But you could barely hear the kids and adult time started at 9 PM. Free coffee there until 10 AM. One bedroom rooms. The living room and bedroom are spacious with a safe. Only outside window was a small one in the bedroom with no real view. The other window is in the living room with a view of the wide hallway. The kitchen area is basically in the hall between the BR and LR. Combined microwave and oven over cooktop burners. Smaller refrigerator/freezer but adequate. Bathroom is nice size tub with shower. Location is two blocks from the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Especially like Abby Road in the next block. Some small issues with key cards not working and A/C going back up at night and during the day to 74 when set at 68 But very friendly staff happy to help out. Walkability: Easy 2 block walk to the beach and many restaurants nearby also within walking distance.
