Quality Inn South Boston - Danville East

THE PHOTOS ARE NOT OF THE HOTEL YOU WILL BE STAYING!!!!! Our room had dirty sheets, dirty bathroom and a shower that did not work. In fact, we had a bath so we were forced to use wash cloths and a sink to clean. Room 222. I couldnt not recommend this location more. If it werent for the fact that my parents (who also booked a room) had to move rooms prior to our arrival due to public hair all over the commode, Id have moved rooms as well. However, Id rather deal with a broken shower and questionable stains over the pubic hair. This is a motel Id not pay $1 for. Ive stayed in $20 rooms that were nicer. Edit: Come to find out my parents in a separate room had to kill several cockroaches in their stay. Not to mention the shades that were broken and let light in all night, beds that hurt and are squeaky. Overall, horrible horrible stay. Youd be better off sleeping your Amber along an interstate.

Rooms are not all that nice. Basically just a place to pull over and get some sleep. Car would be better Rooms: Not very nice, beds and blankets smelled horrible. Food & drinks: Free breakfast, drink machine and snack machine

March 2024 UPDATE. This hotel just can't get it right. It's been on a yo-yo up and down for the last 4 years as it keeps changing management. This week's visit was unpleasant. On the up side was the front desk agent that checked us in, she was delightful. The beds were comfortable (but squeaky) and the hotel is in a good location. Everything else is on the downside. We had two rooms. One heater did not work, the other one leaked and soaked the floor. The room phone didn't work and there was no one at the front desk to tell about the leak when we checked out. Drapes were torn. Both showers had faucets with reversed hot and cold indicators and were almost impossible to regulate causing the hot water to be boiling. Basic TV is all you get. The worst: this is a contractor hotel, so expect construction workers who pay $39 a night and frequent the adjoining bar after work to be drunk, loud, profane, vomiting on the sidewalk, and urinating in the corners. The hotel is worth $39 a night, but not the regular guest price of $75-100. We'll be looking for somewhere else to stay. Ok, what can I say about this hotel? It's not fancy. There are a lot of extended stay contractors with big trucks (one that always parked in the handicapped space). But beds are very comfortable and it's mostly clean (you might find a random pen on the floor, furniture is iffy, and yes, housekeeping could be improved). But, darn everyone is SO nice! Angela (front desk) is awesome. 24 hour coffee. And a restaurant with great NOLA food that defies explanation (you have to experience it yourself)! This IS our hotel when we visit S. Boston, VA.

If I'm ever again working within 50 miles of this place I'll definitely stay here.
