5 star's isn't enough to rate the care and support my family has received from Amedisys Hospice Care. Laura has been the most loving and caring Nurse and friend since my grandmother was admitted almost a year ago. To all that has taken part in my grandmother's care we say "THANK YOU"! You have truly been a blessing to our family! Love all of you. To Dr Mitchell you have been part of our family for many,many year's. May God continue to strengthen you for all the wonderful love and care you give not only to your patients,but also to their family. We love you beyond word's. God bless you!

Very poor service. Does not keep agreed upon nurse visits that are necessary. They change the day at will without notifying you leaving you sitting there waiting and the patient without the needed service. The medical equipment that they said they were ordering for the patient had not been ordered a week after being told they would do it today(oxygen and a wheel chair). Nothing but excuses when you call and a tone that indicates that I am in the wrong for wanting the promised services on the promised days and expecting calls telling me they aren't coming. Four mess ups in the first two weeks. I decided enough was enough. I called and asked for his records to be sent to another company and for a release form. I was told I would get a call back. I did not. I called back two hours later and was informed they were sending the Chaplin to the house with the paper work for me to sign so they could fax it to the other company. Several hours after the Chaplin left with the papers the new company called and said they were still waiting on the release. I told them it had been signed. The new company called and was finally able to get them to send it. If they can't do their job when the patient is still in fairly good health Heaven forbid how they will care for them in their time of true need. Our two weeks with them were nothing but stress for the family and repeated calls for them to come do the agreed upon and charted services.I would not recommend this company.

Not a very organized company. Call backs for help are non existant or hours later. Aids not dependable to be on time or call with scheduled time. Twice we've had emergency need for a nurse, last time was due to pain in the chest, called at 11 am. No call back from Amedisys. We called back at 4:30 to see why we had not heard back and was later told there was a disconnect between Admin staff and nurse. God forbid you should need immediate help. Moving to Good Samaritan, have heard wonderful reviews.

They took excellent care of my Mama while she was enduring the last stages of Parkinson's Disease. The were very kind to her and provided great nursing care as well as bath aides and assistance to me as the primary caregiver.
