        Used the service department to open our pool this year and was charged over $800. A normal company opens a pool for a couple hundred dollars and a conversation would be had about extra chemicals, gauges, etc that is needed. No such conversation took place, and Clearwater emptied 7.5 GALLONS of shock into our pool, charged $400 just to open the pool (which included removing the cover and cleaning the sides only!! - they charged us an extra $40 to fold up the cover and put it in a bag) and added plenty of other chemicals that we already had, had they asked and had the conversation with us. Talk about taking advantage of people and not being up front about costs.
