Home2 Suites by Hilton Richmond Short Pump

Great location! I can't say enough about all of the dining and nearby shopping. Everything you need is a stone throw from this hotel. The people working here are kind of disconnected, but friendly enough. If definitely go back!

The Home2 Suites has a serious issue with bathroom privacy and this hotel was no exception. In room 216 bathroom privacy is nil. Room 216 is a 1 bedroom suite so there are two bathroom doors. The one connecting the bedroom and bathroom is a sliding door with a mind of its own. It's an extremely upsetting and uncomfortable experience that borderlines disturbing when the bathroom door you close just rolls back open. Unless you want an audience while using the toilet then you have to clear the bedroom of any guests staying with you and close the bedroom door shutting off the bedroom completely to not have eyes on you while using the restroom. Which was a huge inconvenience when I get up to use the restroom in the morning and my partner is still laying in bed and he is forced to get up to leave the room all because the bathroom door won't close under any circumstance and God forbid I don't want watched while going to the bathroom. The level of inconsideration when it comes to guest privacy and inconvenience this flaw places on people traveling with others staying in the same room is absolutely unacceptable. Bathroom privacy should be a guarantee when I'm paying $200+ a night for a room. This needs addressed immediately. It's criminal of the hotel to allow such flawed accommodations when it comes to bathroom privacy.
