        If you ever find yourself dealing with Newport news courts and need a guardian ad litem for your child, request a different one! The alcoholism and abuse was ok because my childs father/my husband was military. It didn't matter that my daughter was scared to be around him, and he ignored her during visitation weekends. My daughters concerns were not taken into consideration, and she didn't have a choice. Not even sure HOW someone who spoke to my child for LESS THAN 10 MINUTES is supposed to speak on her behalf???? It's fine now I guess. Her father drank himself to death, and dropped dead from it just a few HOURS after my daughter returned home from her last visitation with him. I'm glad that she's safe and this ordeal is over.
