Dr. Alan Tesson MD

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Tesson for a migraine (he normally focuses on sleep disorders and general neurology but had the soonest availability when I was looking at his practice). I hit the jackpot! He spent a lot of time with me and was very thorough in taking a history and ordering lab work and imaging. He has great communication, including through calls and the patient portal between appointments. I really appreciate his caring and methodological approach! He recently relocated from Duke Hospitals in NC several months ago so do NOT feel hesitant that he does not yet have a track record of reviews with INOVA.

I am a new patient of Dr. Tesson but so far I am blown away by the care I have received from not just him but his staff. Natasha and Brenda made scheduling a breeze. Alexis has been attentive with her follow through since my visit in coordinating my medications and prior authorization with my insurance. And Dr. Tesson himself put me at ease and made me feel as if he truly cared during a video visit which is not the easiest thing to do. Switching doctors with a sleep disorder is scary but I feel incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Tesson and his staff as I am confident I am in good hands. Dr. Tesson was incredibly knowledgeable during our appointment and I have no doubt that under his care I will continue to thrive with my condition, not be defined by it.

I saw Dr. Alan R. Tesson today for insomnia. I have to say I am very impressed. I did my research before I made the appointment, and he was also recommended by my doctor Dr. Serrano. I'm so happy I came to see him because not only was he thorough but attentive and has great bed side manners. He actually listened and gave me information I didn't know (which surprised him). He took his time to talk and explain the origins and reasons for my condition, which I didn't know. He gave me choices and made recommendations for me to choose NOT what he thinks is best. I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on anything or just give me meds. I would recommend him highly for any neurological condition. If he doesn't know he'll tell you and make recommendations. A new and grateful Patient
