Outstanding Customer Service provided by the staff of this location. I experience a warm welcome each time I stay here. From Austin, Ms. Donna, Adrian, the wisa black male in the suit, to Michelle and Latonya of housekeeping, I'm forever grateful for the hospitality and smiles they've shown other guest and myself. Raises are in order and due CEO! Lets make it happen

This was absolutely the filthiest hotel I have ever slept in. I have traveled to China to Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Russia, Sweden, England, Holland, Spain, well most of Europe, Dubai, Oman, and I'm telling you in every country I've ever been to, the Holiday Inn Express Coliseum Center in Hampton, VA is is the filthiest hotel I have ever been in. The elevator carpet seems to have been left unvacuumed for more than a month. Around the air conditioner/heating unit in my room there were cobwebs that must have been two decades old. The putrid smell of musty mold in the room was overwhelming. Stay clear of that building the management and ownership do not care about the property, let alone your health.

Disclaimer: We were in Hampton, VA for a small sized event at the Coliseum. See below for a GOOD, BAD, UGLY breakdown. The GOOD: Location was perfect. Very close to restaurants and a mile form the Coliseum. The staff was nice and the King room was a good size for the price. It had a pull out sofa which make it accommodating for me and 1 child. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked with eggs, pastries, turkey + pork sausages, cereals, and breads. Ample free parking and Free WiFi. The BAD: We booked multiple rooms (10) and lots of people were waiting in the lobby for over an hour after check in. We had a pretty strict schedule which this interrupted. Walls in this hotel were paper thin. We could hear rooms next to us in a normal talking voice. I didn't notice until I was in the show that there was no conditioner. This could have gone in the ugly category. Do not use this WiFi if you need to work. It's really slow. The UGLY: (pictures) The room was not clean. The bed sheets were stained. There was mold on the floor in the bathroom. There was no clean set of sheets or comforter for the pull out sofa. The tub leaked and dripped all night which made it hard to sleep. The king sized bed had a very thin, light comforter and the mattress was very uncomfortable. That was the worst part because after a 3 hour drive and 14 hours of events, I was looking forward to a comfortable hotel bed.

Do not stay here! I hear every noise outside. I get up to look outside the window and I see two holes (see photos). I'm too tired to go back downstairs to request a room change. The sheets are stained. The elevator carpet is dirty and looks unvacuumed for days, and the same with the hallways. The hotel smells musty and the walls are super thin. Housekeeping slams every room door when they enter to clean and close when they are done! They yell across the hallways to another housekeeping and then they congregate in the hallways and conversate loudly as if they are in the privacy of their homes! Wow, I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and pride in this place! I am shocked that other reviews rate this hotel as clean. It is the filthiest IHG hotel I have ever stayed at, such a shame because this place with its convenient location to everything can be better! The only positive thing is the check-in, very friendly and courteous, breakfast is okay.
