Avis Car Rental

I rented a car with my CREDIT CARD on Nov. 1st and returned Nov. 4th and completed my transaction with my debit card and the hold still remains on the CREDIT CARD that's never happened in all of my 25 years of renting cars.

On Oct 28th, I purchased a 12-passenger van for a trip to Savannah, GA. The trip was cancelled through the company due to storm IAN that came through Savannah. So the same night when I was notified my trip my cancelled, I contacted AVIS to return the van. Being that I had not driven the van 13 miles, I thought maybe I would get a discount. They still charged me full price for that day, due to a storm that of course was out of my control. Nevertheless to say on picking up the vehicle, the lady I dealt with attitude was awful. The van was nasty, screws falling out the door, jack and cover to the van was broken, driver mirror was broken, run board was broken and on top of that the vehicle was not there at my 12:00 noon pick up time. But arrived an hour and a half late. The only satisfaction that I received was the gentlemen who did the walk-thru with me. He noted everything that was wrong. Upon leaving the lady that checked me out had the audacity to tell us it will be a cleaning fee if the van was not bought back clean. For as nasty as it was when I picked it up. Avis car number 93457302 in the name of Boone. I did not expect not to pay anything, but I feel as though they should have only charged me for the miles. And they should have some type of policy in place for the act of nature thats beyond anyones control. I will never go through AVIS/Budget again. Even if my dollar is higher elsewhere.

Always a great experience using Avis on Mercury Blvd in Hampton Va. The staff is awesome.
