Merrill House Apartments

I applied for an apt. Right after I applied online, I called to make sure they received it and the lady tells me its taken already. Then I proceed to ask for my application refund and she says she has to request it. Then I called back for a confirmation email and I get connected to Jodie who was combative and rude/hostile the entire time of me just asking questions about my $50 application fee and when I should expect to receive it. She says its only $50 youll be alright like what?!? Im sure if someone stole $5 from her, she would be upset who is she to tell me that? Also if the apt is taken, it shouldnt be on the website. Very bad communication all around and I wouldnt want to deal with them again even if they had a vacant apartment

Terrible experience trying to tour an apartment. I spoke with the leasing office on the phone and scheduled a tour for two days later. I show up at the agreed time, and nobody is in the office. Nobody showed up for 20 minutes. Then, I was told that my tour wasn't on the schedule. To top it all off, they went on to say that those units weren't available, so there was no point in touring. Would have been nice to know that before a two hour round trip.

Merrill House has been one of the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The AC constantly breaks down during the summer. Regardless of how clean I keep the apartment there are endless bugs. Ive had the unit fumigated twice but stillbugs! The community has been great but the building is falling apart.

Not sure why my review keeps getting deleted but I'll try again. I couldn't WAIT for my lease to end because this was, quite honestly, the worst place I've ever rented in. The building is falling apart at the seams- water pressure was off, heating and cooling was a mess (our radiator broke twice and there was always mold growing in there). It leaked like crazy, so much that one summer half of the ceiling layer peeled off in our dining room. Wet spots everywhere! I had enough when they bumped the utility bill by a couple hundred dollars... no thanks. Would rather live elsewhere!

Great location and spacious apartments. Very quite and peaceful! Service staff are quick and responsive.
