We recommend Reel Homes without reservation. Their workmanship is top tier with attention given to detail and quality. After researching larger builders with their cookie cutter approaches and other smaller custom builders, Reel Homes was chosen because of their flexibility, value, straightforward approach, and in-person review of some of their other completed projects. The team is incredibly responsive throughout the process and because you are dealing directly with the owners a majority of the time, there is quick resolution to questions or issues. Francine (the office manager) was a huge help to us throughout the whole process, and the design team led by Christina was a real pleasure to work with. They understood our vision and helped create it balancing that against budget. They also helped manage our anxieties about all of the choices we had to make! The builder delivered our home ahead of our original schedule despite the virus outbreak and concerns about impacts to supply chains and workers. We are very happy to have contracted with Reel Homes to build our new home. This was our first experience with new home construction and their "lump sum" pricing approach was right for us. We completed the initial contract while we were overseas, and there were no unwelcome surprises down the road. We appreciated that Reel Homes only took on a limited number of projects at any given time, allowing us to deal directly with Eric and Chris whenever we had a request or question. We asked for several modifications of the plan we chose and these were made without any complication. Eric and Chris also provided frank advice on other options we considered, steering us away from some we may have regretted. They completed construction on time and as promised. They addressed minor move-in issues quickly, and followed up to ensure sub-contractors had performed to our satisfaction. Two years after move-in we remain very happy with our choice of Reel Homes.
