Hampton Inn & Suites Chesapeake-Battlefield Blvd.

This is listed as 3 star but it's very old. Doors fit loosely, faucets are loose, tiny bathroom and low ceilings. Can't believe they still have fluorescent lights in 2024 and very dim lights in elevator make it seem cheap from the start. The biggest inconvenience is that in order to do laundry, you have to install a 3rd party app on your phone and create an account. I'll never stay at a Hampton again without checking to make sure they don't have this hostile laundry situation. Probably best to just move away from this brand altogether.

2 night stay . Main issue was broken shower door. This sliding glass door was obviously damaged prior to our stay. The second morning it came off of the tracks while my wife was in the shower and the full door fell onto her. If she wasn't alert, this may have injured her and shattered everywhere. I ran in to assist her when I heard her screaming. The maid staff didn't service our room after the first night, leaving us without towels for morning #2. We came back too late to request towels and had to leave early the next morning. The TV worked however did not have service. Once again we arrived too late to bring to someone's attention - and was a minor inconvenience until the other issues came up. I spoke to the manager Alexis who was apologetic however realized there was nothing that she could do at this point. My frustration and concern was that we were given a room that obviously had not been quality checked or reviewed prior to booking to the public.

We stayed at Hampton motel Battlefield blvd Chesapeake Va. I was very happy with our decision, the prices of the beach motels are very expensive, the twenty minute ride to the beach was nice sightseeing as we went. Walmart is 5 minutes away.many restaurants and fast food close by. we really enjoyed the hot tub and pool the water temp was so calming, the pool was great and fun for the family, being an animal lover glad to see the motel is dog friendly met many nice people with nice beautiful healthy dogs, the room 510 was spacious and clean providing many towels, nice gym, the hot water in the room should be hotter, breakfast is provided it was ok. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. Nearby activities: Beach about 20 minutes, restaurants nearby, Haygood roller skating.
