Richard has been my doctor for well over a decade. Medical guidance has been excellent. Thoroughly professional.

Dr. Di Gioia has been my primary care physician for 21 years. I can't imagine going to anyone else. He is a doctor who takes his time with his patients, doesn't over-book, and is very easy to talk to. He is very much like a family doctor, who knows his patients personally, not one of those practices where you're treated like cattle. His office manager is also very friendly and responsive.

Dr di gioia was my doctor for many years until I felt more and more uncomfortable to be around him. A close friend had recommended him, and as a fellow gay man, to have a gay doctor felt like he would understand some of my life trials and tribulations. Many things about Dr DiGioia were terrible, and some in odd ways, some in vile ways.Side note, knowing about the doctor from my friend I learned his partner (at the time) was a chubby/heavyset man, as I was at that time. When I turned 28 he said it was time I started getting regular "prostate" exams. I didn't question it because it is a doctor. He asked me to come back again after 6 months, for a second prostate exam but then didn't mention it or suggest it yearly. When I told another friend who saw the doc, but is a more fit, straight man, the friend said he, tho older than me, hadn't received a prostate exam yet from the doctor. This felt odd.Once when I came to the office he told his nurse to head home and he would take care of me. That seemed kind of him. He did my temperature & heart rate checks himself, but in nestling the heart rate/pressure monitor onto my arm, he pushed my knee against his groin. In an attempt for me to move away my knee grazed across his groin. I assumed nothing of it until I realized those weren't his keys pushing back. I felt disgusted and violated again.Another time I told him I was Thinkin of a Mental health therapist and he said he could prescribe me something instead of me going through the hassle of finding a therapist. Now after many years of therapy I find that appalling. The last time I left I had asked DrDiGioia about getting on prep and he said that's a difficult thing to get in and we should talk about it before I do that . Worst advice. Avoid this vile pervert at all costs, (and I'm a fellow gay man)

Some of the old reviews here in response to the "rude" front office staff are about the staff at his prior location. The office manager who has worked for him for the past several years is awesome.
