Paulo Rivera is not the person who wrote this review. Her name is Daphne and she brought along her daughter with 2 healthy young cats to see me for annual exams and vaccines. Dear Daphne, I regret that you did not have the experience you were expecting. 1. Deworming was never requested by you to me. If it had been, I would have asked why and we would have had a discussion about it. I don't typically deworm cats unless there is a problem with their stool, concern that they may have parasites or if the cats are outdoors. I would have remembered that request. 2. The price of the rabies vaccine was quoted for the 1 year vs the 3 year; you opted for the 1 year rabies vaccine for both cats. Your cats were also due for and given the FVRCP (feline distemper) which was charged for in addition to the 1 year rabies. Based on this review, I have to assume all you heard was the cost of the 1 year. I did not misquote you or intentionally mislead you about pricing. We only discussed pricing of the rabies vaccine, not the Rabies + FVRCP vaccine.3. Taking a deposit for appointments is commonplace at any doctor's office including veterinary offices. 4. I do not think I was rude to you. I did a full physical exam on both of your cats and even suggested a dental cleaning on one of them. Please read all of my other reviews and you can see that I'm well liked and respected as a good veterinarian. If I was rude to everyone and barely touched their cats, I wouldn't have the successful business that I have. Finally, I thought you and your daughter were very nice. You have lovely cats. Now that you wrote this unfair review of me and attacked me personally and professionally in a public forum, I have every right to defend myself just as you had a right to voice your opinion about me. I feel very blindsided and for no good reason. You are no longer welcome at Kingstowne Cat Clinic. - Dr. Laura Mosoriak
