Absolutely horrible! I used to love Banfield Pet hospital, I have had my pets enrolled in their health plan since 2014. Unfortunately with time, the services deteriorated, the good providers left and it just kept getting worse. My cat passed away recently and there was no consideration to a loss so profound, I keep getting messages and emails to bring her in for a due exam or dental cleaning, they refused to cancel her health care plan so now I have to pay another year and cancel before the plan renewal.
I have been trying to get my dog scheduled for surgery for a few months now, first they scheduled us and cancelled the day before the surgery! (After they had called to confirm) Now its a struggle to try and reschedule at a time that works best for us. Basically you have to work around their schedule, neither you nor your per really matter. As well as the fact that most of their regular appointments are a drop off, so you drop off your pet early morning and they just sit in the back waiting their turn, its a traumatizing experience for my babies as they stay nervous for at least half the day. I understand the change was due to COVID but it never changed back, so we barely get my dog in now unless they have available slots for an in person appointment. The service has been unsatisfactory, and we don't feel like we are getting what our babies deserve nor what we are paying for.
Recommendation: Don't enroll in the health plan, if your pet is your baby, look somewhere else!

You know its really hard to access whether yours pet illness is an emergency. But because any illness will feel like it is, I went to Banfield for my dogs ear infection. The ear infection cost me over $700 with two visits. Quite frankly, ridiculous!! If you can find a vet or another hospital, dont go to Bansfield. Its a rip off. They charge $75 for every visit and then will upsell by saying your pet needs every other thing that a regular vet can do. The vet assistant, tech, even quoted a much lower price for my pets extraction but because she was wrong, I had to pay double that amount at check out. I was even told that my pet needed to get a specific shot twice a year, whereas the new vet I found, said thats not true. I am sure that my pets ear infection would have cost a lot less if Id gone to a veterinary clinic. Banfield takes advantage of over-charging for non-emergency requests and the $75 visit charge is just ridiculous!
