Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. Its wonderful seeing our son get excited about going to Hopkins House daily. The awesome educators led by a fantastic listener (The Principal) really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way and our son is making brilliant progress each day. The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and were very thankful to the whole team at Hopkins House.

Were a military family and absolutely LOVE the McNeil Preschool Academy. As an educator, I visited 10+ daycares before finding this GEM. Our two boys are thriving here and love their teachers. The activities and curriculum are very well thought out. My three year comes home excited everyday and wont stop talking about everything they did that day. This school is definitely worth a look and is part of the Militarys childcare aware program.

The Hopkins House McNeil preschool is an excellent choice for military members stationed at FT Belvoir Army Installation or Andrews, AFB (depending on where you live). As a military family, we toured 10+ childcare facilities within the immediate area and found Hopkins House to be the best. The facility is beautiful and has a very similar classroom set up like the CDC's on base. The building is secure and the Director's office is right next to the front door. I absolutely love this because I want to make sure that my children are safe. The Director is consistently at the front door greeting parents and children as they arrive. I haven't once found Hopkins House unsecured. The children are separated by age into their respective classrooms and each has it's own bulletin board with the daily schedule, lunch menu, activities, and curriculum posted. I don't have to guess what my child is doing at all. In addition to this, parents receive a daily sheet which details diaper changes, feedings, activities, etc. The staff hasn't missed one yet in the time that we've been there. We previously attended a prestigious Montessori with long wait time in Texas and they'd consistently forget to fill out daily logs. This was particularly frustrating as a parent because you feel like you don't know what's happening. Hopkins House has done wonderfully with this. I feel very involved with what my children are doing there. My 3 year old is thriving. Our drop off's prior to joining the Hopkins House were really hard filled with tears. My son's teacher - Ms. Agnes is an angel. He literally runs into the room each day to give Ms. Agnes a hug and doesn't even look back to say bye! He comes home everyday excited to tell us about what happened at school and show off his art projects. Safe yourself some time and put Hopkins House at the top of your list to tour if you're looking for quality childcare.
