DONT RENT/BUY if you are not on the top floor, but honestly I would not recommend moving here even if you are on the top floorI can literally hear my neighbors walking upstairs, talking, even their phones vibratingits awfulsometimes I cannot sleep or I wake up in the middle of the night simply bc my neighbors are going to the bathroom (I know, its not their fault, Im renting and the owner wont do anything to fix the ceiling). Parking is also horrible here, the spaces are so small, and they will tow you even if you are following the rules, the towing bill is ridiculous. Pros: location (near everything), nice and clean condos, small, not too many buildings and units, good layout, safe for the area, shuttle and bus nearby, near DC and easy access. Cons: NO ceiling or flooring soundproof, poor installation and poor insulation, (you can literally hear tracking wood when you walk or when your neighbors walk upstairs) old building, cheap made building made with cheap and low quality material, no upgrades, no help on how to fix the noise from upstairs neighbors, noisy neighbors with tv, music, karaoke, small and limited parking spaces with a high chance of getting tow, limited garage space, and slow service/maintenance.

While parked in a marked visitor parking spot outside the front office for 5 minutes (not an exaggeration) to pick up keys from a pet sitter, the woman who works in the front office shouted at me and threatened to tow me. The parking lot was blocked off due to construction, so there was nowhere else to park without being in the flow of traffic. When I explained I was there to pick up (my) keys from a resident of the building and would be gone in under 5 minutes, the employee shouted if your car is there when you get back. Incredibly hostile way to speak to a random person in the community, let alone a scrub-wearing nurse who just got off a 13 hour night shift. Given what 5 minutes was like, I cant imagine living there.

0 stars is a more accurate rating. This has been my worst housing experience to date. I rented here for several months and left early, largely but not exclusively due to noise disturbances and an unhelpful landlord. While living here, there was no insulation in the subflooring between units, so all sounds were experienced at heightened levels, louder than any place Ive lived prior. If you live here, depending on who your neighbors are and the activities they choose to engage in, you may be exposed to noise above the legal limit for residential settings in the city of Alexandria in the morning, afternoon, evening, and in the middle of the night. Other reviews that indicate noise issues should not be disregarded.

It is not safe here. There are constant car thefts and management does nothing about it.
