I have been a customer of H&R Block for at least 15 years. This year they charged me $283 to prepare my taxes which were filed and excepted by the IRS on April 1. I received two letters, one in June saying that they would need 60 more days to review my return and one in July saying again they would need 60 days to review my return. On August 9 I got a letter from the IRS saying that my tax return had been reviewed and the refund amount adjusted because of the following: * The Social Security number of one of the named individuals claimed as a qualifying dependent was missing or incomplete. * the last name of one or more individuals claimed as a qualifying dependent does not match their record. * one or more individuals claimed as qualifying dependent exceeds the age limit. *your AGI exceed $75,000 or 150,000 if filing jointly(it does not) * the amount was computed incorrectly. So I go to H&R Block this morning and tell them I want the $283 they charged me back because Im still waiting and will have to wait 4-6 more weeks for my refund. Oh yeah, and the child tax credit advance that I qualified for Im not getting either. They cannot refund my money on the debit card that I paid with, they have to issue me a check. Mind you when I put my debit card out there for them to take the $283 from it was debited immediately but I have to wait 3 to 5 days for them to print a check and mail it to me. I will not be doing business with H&R Block again and dont suggest that any of you do either because this morning the lady told me she had three others in this week with the same complaint. #notgoodcustomerservice

My return got a $680 REFUND from the IRS for overreporting on my obligation by H & R.
