Food is what its always been. Consistent. Its pretty good for what it is. Service is very very friendly! They are always understaffed but the staff is doing their very best and deserve all the praise in the world. Now the bad. The west valley location, always and I mean the last 12 times weve eaten inside over the course of the last two years, smells like raw sewage and fabuloso cleaner. Whether you like that cleaner or not it is a strong smell and it will interfere with the food smells you should be smelling. The raw sewage is wild. Please please someone call a plumber. We really like coming in but its gross.

They did recently re model and get new management, but it is severely lacking as an improvement. I grew up eating from Hires, and I don't know what happened. I think the food gods just seams to have taken away a blessing or two.

Since the remodeling and COVID, the prices have gone up immensely while the service has gotten slower.
This used to be a go-to for my family. Now, it has to be special occasions because $70 (without tip) is a lot for a casual eatery for 3 people.
