This place does not promote healing. I was immediately talked down to the moment I walked in the door by huc, Tori. She came back to my brother's room with security to tell me "her rules". Why was security needed? I hadnt done anything wrong. I was their supporting my brother who almost DIED. HE BROKE 30 BONES AND HAD A DISSECTED AORTA. She was extremely patronizing and nasty. I told her she was triggering my PTSD and that I was going to remove myself. She said "oh security will escort you". In a very nasty tone. And continued to follow me and berate me down the hall and wouldn't let me out the door. That is not how you treat someone that just told you they have PTSD.They all need sensitivity training and trauma informed training. Tori is the reason I almost lost my brother again. He left after 2 weeks bc he couldn't handle the way he was being treated by her and relapsed. He wanted to use this experience as a reason to stay clean but they refused to healp treat the pain of 30 broken bones. He was in pain regardless if he was an addict. She treated my whole family like criminals all bc my brother had substance abuse and mental health issues. Then my dad was in accident and almost died 2 weeks after, from being exhausted taking care of my brother bc he should have still been in the hospital. She created a chain reaction of trauma and near death experiences for what? Her own power trip? I will never forget that horrendous beast for the rest of my life. I'm not sure how she still has a job considering there are so many complaints about her. She does NOT belong in healthcare period! I'll see you in HELL TORI! :)

If I could give them a lower rating than 1-star I would! After going through the most scary, and difficult times of my life My extremely healthy and fit spouse suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and after recovering in ICU at St.George Regional Hospital, was transferred to Neuro/Specialty Rehabilitation. The first 7-10 days were great and he made exceptional progress. The problem really started towards the end of his stay and when they wanted him discharged. We had zero communication or help with the social workers or were advised, that by being in their unit it is considered a Skilled Nursing facility and it maxed out the number of days our insurance covered. So we were basically given less than 48 hours notice to try and find a rehabilitation facility for him to continue to recover and we would have to private pay as they had maxed out his insurance coverage. He was not ready to come home or able to take care of himself even with my help. When I confronted the obviously inept social worker who had done nothing to help us, instead made things worse (Craig S.) this woman named Tori, threatened to have security escort me out of the hospital!!! I had done nothing wrong, I was not profane, I had certainly not been abusive or threatening in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM! I had however, questioned the ethics, and total failure of the units social worker and the lack of communication and explanation of treatment plan and discharge plans. The experience with Tori, has absolutely terrified me and reminded me of what it was like for an LGBT couple back in the 80s-90s Certainly I had hoped that things would be better in 2023. Sadly it wasnt. I really am shocked and appalled by Toris behavior as well as Craig S. Im still upset and extremely bothered by this and we are looking into the best way to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else. Sadly, this incident has overshadowed the professional team of nurses and therapists who did an exceptional job and took such great care of him. I am very grateful to them.
