Beware. We've had a miserable experience with McAllister Insurance. You may experience the same.
They After 3+ years insuring various vehicles, my wife and I went to Guatemala to do volunteer work. We were quoted $80 for the year for basic coverage on our primary car while it was garaged. When we returned a year later we found that full coverage had been added to the garaged car without our approval. Despite having our phone numbers and email while we were gone, McAllister sat by and let the insurer take over $1000 from our bank account for this car without telling us of the increase that was way beyond what we were quoted. Had we known that they were doing this to us, we would have removed coverage entirely. Upon returning to the US and seeing what they had done to us, we immediately asked for the expropriation of our funds to be rectified. We were initially promised by Mr. McAllister that he would remedy the situation. Promises turned into excuses. Excuses turned into stonewalling. Finally after nearly 6 months, he stopped returning phone calls or texts so we cancelled all of our car insurance due to lack of confidence.
McAlllister violated our trust, was not proactive in keeping us informed, basically aided the insurer in pilfering over $1000 from us, and eventually did not walk up to their commitment to make it right. We ultimately had no option but to take our business elsewhere. You would think that the man whose name is on the sign out front would not treat people in this way.
Since It is not possible to award zero stars so just one will have to do.
