Agents seemed to not know what they are talking about

I agreed to purchase homeowners insurance from our representative 11/30/2023 for $995.00 good through 6/7/2024. We then received a notice to pay an additional $1,089.81 from UNITED INSURANCE GROUP or our policy would cancel on March 1, 2024, despite the fact that we paid for 6 months. We feel this company is unethical. Nowhere in our documents does it state we are required to buy a 1-year policy. This company lacks transparency. And, on top of this, one cannot cancel and receive a refund. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY! What insurance group is not willing to refund if you cancel a policy. The state insurance regulators need to shut this company down. We did purchase another insurance policy with Travelers at a substantial reduced rate of $316.00 for a full 12 month period. I would like a 100% REFUND for the policy originally purchased with UNITED INSURANCE GROUP in the amount of $995.00.Also, the State of Utah needs to sanction them or put them out of business.

Terrible customer service. These people are crooks and thieves! They actually hung the phone up in our face. I assumed that they did it because we are African American but apparently they do this to everyone (just read their reviews). Please avoid this company at all cost!!!
