This complex was perfect for my little family (me, my husband, and our baby/toddler) for two years. If you can get the subsidized rent, it is an absolute steal. The apartments feel clean and spacious and it is in an amazing location - so close to a UVX bus stop, the City Center temple, restaurants, Center Street, Smith's, and more, although there does tend to be a strange crowd that hang around the liquor store and make ruckus at all hours of the night. It could be frustrating when repairs took forever (we had a cracked window for 18 months), but they were usually quick to fix anything that didn't need a part ordered. We were sad to move out and definitely recommend it for families just starting out.

I am currently the manager of The Huntington and have been since 3/2010. In response to "Devon" I have to say that while I appreciate your concern for your friend, you need to realize that there are two sides to every story. You heard one. Don't rely on everything you hear when you do not know fully what went on since you have never met me nor lived at The Huntington. -Miken

We lived in the Huntington for nearly 4 years. When we moved away we received charges for early move out. I called EMG (managing company) multiple times and sent an email to work out a few extra charges on the bill. While in discussions they sent the bill to collections after having received a check from me, and without any further shots at communication. This was disappointing, especially after having lived there for 4 years with not a single months late rent, or any other issues. I found out 6 months later it still showed as unpaid on my credit report. They never recorded the check as paid, and my credit took a major hit. I disputed it, and my report shows it as paid now, but my credit score is still dropped due to the incident. There is nothing they can or will do to fix their mistake. Management is a joke. Seriously, talk to a few tenants about it before you move in. Nothing good is happening. Multiple cars are being broken into in the parking garage and nothing is done. There are water leaking issues, and they have drug repairs out for over a year which has made the place look like a dump, and has been awful for families with kids that want to play in the courtyard (which management doesn't allow due to ongoing construction). What a waste of what could be some fantastic apartments.
